Mirai Nagasu is the first American woman to land a triple axel in the Olympics.
The 24-year-old’s feat secured Team USA a bronze medal in the team event. Only two other women successfully landed the jump in the Olympics, including Japanese skaters Midori Ito and Mao Asada.
