The time for President Obama and the First Family to pack up their belongings and say goodbye to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is approaching.
In a spoof titled “Couch Commander,” that aired during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 30, President Obama wrestles with the idea of what he will do post-presidency.
The clip begins with a news anchor announcing the Obamas have decided to stay in Washington D.C. for two years once he leaves office. The family have decided to allow youngest daughter, Sasha, to finish high school, noting “transferring someone in the middle of high school—tough.”
The ensuing hypothetical scenario takes a tongue-in-cheek stab at life after presidency for Obama in Washington D.C.
