PORT JERVIS—The 24th year of the Fall Foliage Festival brought local and international cuisine, crafts, music, and local organizations of many kinds to Port Jervis. According to the festival organizer’s Facebook page, over 10,000 people attended. The festival had numerous options for food like Paisan Wheels’ wood fired pizza in slices of margarita and pepperoni, Polish Deli’s Polish sausage, Texas Taters’ ribbon fries, and Noel Hall’s Reggae Boy Cafe stand that sold Jamaican specialties.
Many local historical organizations participated. Frank Salvati, an interpreter of colonial Indian affairs, raffled off handmade replicas of weapons used by Iroquois Native Americans during the American Revolution. Julio and Anna Petitti of the Tri-States Railway Preservation Society displayed their model trains. Organizations in Port Jervis and surrounding areas had a presence at the festival.
