Peyton Manning showed exceptional form as he guided the Indianapolis Colts to a narrow win over the Washington Redskins with 25 completed passes out of 38 for 307 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns himself.
The winning margin of 27–24 would’ve been higher if three Colts fumbles in the second half had not given the Redskins opportunity to score 10 crucial points, allowing them to push the Colts all the way to the end.
This victory keeps the Colts tied with the Houston Texans at the top of their division with 4-2 records.
The Colts have a bye next Sunday to rest and recuperate.
“We worked hard to get to 4-2,” said Manning, according to Reuters. “It feels like it’s been more than six games, the way the team is feeling physically.
“The bye is coming at a good time. Our biggest goal out of the bye is to get healthy.”
The Colts next game will be Nov. 1 against Houston at Lucas Oil Stadium.
