Vice President Mike Pence was nominated by the GOP to be President Donald Trump’s vice president on the first day of the Republican National Convention (RNC).
Following his renomination, Pence addressed the convention with a short speech. He spoke of a strong need to reelect President Donald Trump.
He highlighted the Trump administration’s commitment to protecting freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and second amendment rights. Pence said the next four years under Trump would be marked by lower taxes, free market economics, secure borders, and a commitment to protect the right to life.
