Actor Paul Walker may have been in a drag race before the car he was riding in crashed, killing himself and friend Roger Rodas, who was driving.
The Los Angeles Sheriff Department told Fox News that investigators are looking into whether or not Rodas and Walker were drag racing another car before the fiery crash.
Police officers arrived to the scene to find the car engulfed in flames, and are looking at dental records to formally identify the body.
At the same time, sources connected to Always Evolving, the shop co-owned by Walker and Rodas, told TMZ that the Carrera GT they were driving in malfunctioned.

A mechanical failure, likely a steering fluid leak, caused the crash, the sources said.
The lack of skid marks show that the driver didn’t have control, they said.
While Rodas may have been speeding, the idea that he lost control is preposterous, one source said. “Roger was a world class driver.”
