Paramore played the Direct TV Celebrity Beach Bowl after show Saturday at Pier 40 in New York City. This show was one of many events New York and New Jersey were holding during Super Bowl Weekend. The crowd braved the cold as early as 8 A.M. in hopes of gaining entrance to the free show that was first come, first served.
Before Paramore stepped foot on stage, played, fans saw celebrities participate in the 8th Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl. Some of the celebrities participated included: Tracy Morgan, James Marsden, John Legend, Serena Williams, Dr. Oz, Chace Crawford and Nina Dobrev.
Current and Hall of Fame football players were in attendance as well including New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Joe Montana, Phil Simms, Jesse Palmer and Deion Sanders.
The crowd couldn’t get to the sand fast enough to see the band perform 13 songs during their hour set which included: “Ignorance,” “Decode,” “Now,” “The Only Exception,” “That’s What You Get,” and “Pressure.”

At one point, singer Haley Williams pulled an overwhelmed teenaged girl on stage to sing the bridge of “Misery Business.” She pulled out a microphone and said that it’s not a microphone but “your voice.” The girl, who was seeing them for the 15th time, hugged Williams and proceeded to take a “selfie” with her and the rest of the band.
Paramore closed out with the insanely catchy “Still Into You” off their latest self-titled album. They will return to New York on June 21 along with fellow Fueled By Ramen record mates Fall Out Boy to perform at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh.
