Amid controversy surrounding the death of the 17-year-old gorilla, people have been keen to focus on mishaps---or near mishaps---at zoos, questioning whether the animals should be kept in such facilities in the first place.

In a video shot on Saturday, a video of a panther sneaking up on a man has fallen under the umbrella of the public’s focus, but for very different reasons.

The panther could be seen stalking Eduardo Serio, the owner of the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation---where the panther is housed---before it plays with him. The panther is named Kal-el, which is also known as Superman’s birth name.

They also seek to “raise awareness worldwide through pictures and videos using” Facebook, Instagram, and other social media websites---like the viral video of the Kal-el the panther.

Meanwhile, they are attempting to work “hand by hand with the Mexican Government, to keep changing laws in order to protect all species of Animals in Mexico and inspire all countries around the world to join in,” the website states.
