A dedicated teacher from Spain came up with a creative way for her students to learn biology. She taught a class dressed in a full-body suit accurately depicting the anatomy inside of the human body. After her proud husband posted photos on Twitter, she was praised as a model educator.

“I teach natural and social science, art, as well as English and Spanish,” said teacher Verónica Duque, who has been working in the Spanish education system for 15 years, per Bored Panda.

A teacher who is passionate about her profession, Duque first came up with the innovative idea while at home browsing the internet. “I was surfing the internet when an ad of an AliExpress swimsuit popped up. Knowing how hard it is for kids this young to visualize the disposition of internal organs, I thought it was worth it giving it a try,” she said.

The woman then proceeded to purchase the interestingly patterned bodysuit, which correctly places the human internal organs and muscle groups, both from the front and rear. According to the AliExpress website, the suit was designed to be used as a visual teaching aid to help students locate the various internal organs.

On the day of the class, her husband, Michael, took some photos before posting them on his Twitter. “Very proud of this volcano of ideas that I am lucky to have this woman. Today she explained the human body to her students in a very original way. And the kids freaking out. Great Veronica !!!” his caption read in Spanish.

According to Duque, she has more creative ideas in store to keep her classes exciting and help her students learn, not only in biology but also in history and grammar. “I decided long ago to use disguises for history lessons,” she said. “I’m also using cardboard crowns for my students to learn grammatical categories such as nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Different grammar kingdoms, so to speak.”

Such commitment and passion for her craft did not go unnoticed on Twitter. Michael’s tweet became a viral hit and got over 70,000 likes and was retweeted over 14,000 times, with many commending Duque’s creativity.

One comment read, “Great. Spectacular. Sparkly. Intelligent. Didactic. Masterly. Surely students will not forget it in their life.”

While another remarked, “I applaud each of your initiatives because your imagination has no limits. It is fortunate to have professionals of this caliber, always looking to leave a mark on their students ...”

One particularly touching comment came from someone who claimed to be a former student of hers. “She was my tutor in primary school 5 and 6, I remember her with great affection and love. [One] of the best teachers I’ve had ... I remember some of her classes better than most of university.”

As for Duque’s reaction to the viral attention she‘d been getting, she hopes to represent her profession honorably. “I’d like society to stop considering teachers to be lazy bureaucratic public servants. We’re certainly not,” she said.
