Teetering and pedaling, people gathered on Governors Island over the Labor Day weekend to play basketball, hockey, and wrestle sumo-style—all while riding unicycles. The NYC Unicycle Festival is a yearly event, with lessons to coax spectators into becoming beginner unicyclists, games for the more adventurous, and a 13-mile unicycle ride across Brooklyn for the most lionhearted of unicyclists.
