President Obama and his family visited a swingset they donated to a Washington, D.C., shelter.
Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited the Jobs Have Priority Naylor Road Family Shelter in Washington where they donated their daughters’ swingset earlier in the month, CNN reported. They also met the children living at the 28-apartment shelter.
According to the Washington Post, President-elect Donald Trump turned down an offer to keep it on the White House grounds.
“This is about how big Sasha was when we showed up,” the president said while pushing a child who was sitting on the swing.
The Obamas installed the swingset when the daughters were 10 and 7 years old.
As the Obamas played with children on the swingset, a crowd gathered outside, chanting “Obama! Obama! Hey, hey, hey, Goodbye.”
