Simpson, who was found not guilty in 1995 for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, is serving nine to 33 years for a 2008 kidnapping and robbery case in Las Vegas. He is due to go in front of a parole board in November of 2017.

The LAPD has said they plan to test the five-inch fixed-blade buck knife, which was allegedly given to a retired LAPD motor officer in 2002 by a construction worker.
