I love the leaves falling from the trees, the changing in color, and I like the amount that I can walk outside without being uncomfortable. My least favorite thing is the lack of sunshine that really gets me.

I definitely like being in an apartment on a Sunday afternoon while football games are playing and you can hear everyone in the neighborhood get excited about the same play. It’s really cool to see the community that comes around when nobody can go outside because its too cold. What I don’t like ... it would have to be how early it gets dark.
Christine Wilkins, 35, care giving, Staten Island
What I like about the winter is the snow and the holidays, Christmas, and the birth of Jesus, it’s just a beautiful season. I don’t know it’s time for change, of course it’s cold but it’s just a beautiful season I love winter. ... I love the holiday spirits and how everybody comes out and helps each other, especially at a time like now, it’s pretty awesome, I love it.
Jessica Wilkins, 9, student, Staten Island
I like the snow. I get to make snowman and play with it. It’s just really cold.
Biggo Marci, 49, musician, New York
The weather seems to be very, very cold. I’m from Africa, over there we don’t have this kind of weather, so being here is quite hard for me. I have been here for 10 months so it’s difficult for me to support this weather; you have to wear heavy clothes, jacket, and so on; I’m not used to it. In summer we have so many people outside, in winter its more quiet.
Martinne Geller, 36, reporter, New York
I like the food and drinks of wintertime, like hot drinks, hot wine, hot cocoa, vegetables. I don’t like the cold. I don’t love winter sports, I don’t really like skiing, snowboarding. I’m more of a summer person.
