North Korea says it will conduct live fire drills in two areas near a disputed sea border with South Korea, the South Korean Defense Ministry says.
United States and South Korea held a Joint live fire Exercise at Rodriguez Range on April 11, 2014 in Pocheon, South Korea, part of annual joint Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea training exercise known as Foal Eagle, participated by approximately 7,500 forces, intended to prepare the South Korean defense force for any potential action from North Korea.
North Korea has responded by announcing its own live-fire exercise near the border. (Chung Sung-Jun/Getty Images)
