It’s finally happening: Cord-cutters will be able to watch this year’s entire Super Bowl via a live stream hosted by NBC.
Although live streaming for the Super Bowl has been available in previous years, cord-cutters were often left with a sub-par or incomplete experience.
This year, however, viewers will be able to live stream the pre-game show, half-time show and of course the big game. Those in the United States will be able to watch the Super Bowl via web browser on their PC, tablet or mobile phone.
Web and tablet streaming will be free to all as a special promotional push to promote NBC’s TV Everywhere service, but in order to enjoy it on a smartphone, devices must be subscribed to Verizon Wireless, which has an exclusive agreement for live streaming NFL games on mobile devices.
