New Jaguars uniforms: Owner Shad Khan’s total re-branding has brought a new coach, and now new uniforms.
“There’s no reason not to win now,” Khan joked at an unveiling event, according to NFL.com. “We can’t blame the uniforms.”
Not only are the uniforms well-designed--Linebacker Paul Poslusznysays they are nice and tight, confirming to his body while allowing free movement--but they’re sleek. New aspects include a helmet that fades from black to gold, mimicking a Jaguar in nature.
“This a jaguar on the hunt,” Todd Van Horne, Nike’s vice president and creative director for football, told Yahoo! Sports.
Also, a patch over the heart that says “Jags” will pay tribute to the large number of military training sites in the city.
After a dismal record of xxx, Khan has purged most of the roster and coaching staff. The Jaguars have the No. 2 overall pick in this weekend’s draft.
Khan said in a statement that the new uniforms “will energize and inspire both our players and fans.”
“It’s clearly a new era for the Jacksonville Jaguars,” he said.
