A new ISIS video shows the grisly execution of three Iraqi “spies” by militants on horseback. (WARNING: May be distressing for some viewers)
The prisoners are dressed in the standard orange jumpsuits seen in the typical ISIS execution video.
The executions are framed as retaliation for air strikes against ISIS, and the video shows footage of a Rockwell B-1 Lancer bomber from the US Air Force.
This isn’t the first time ISIS has claimed retaliatory killings against alleged “spies” for the West, whom the narrator in the video calls the “Crusader coalition.” In February, the group released a video of a child blowing up three men in a car for the same reason.
ISIS has previously released a photoshopped image from the film “Kingdom of Heaven,” placing the ISIS flag on a group of cavalry and the flags from western countries on a group of knights, framing the conflict as a reiteration of the Crusades.
The video ends with the throats of the three men being slit by daggers, and their decapitated heads placed on top of their bodies.
