A tornado likely touched down in the Canadian province of New Brunswick on Saturday evening, leaving a trail of damage. A video surfaced on Sunday of a twister in Cambridge-Narrows.

Environment Canada said it is investigating reports that a tornado passed through eastern New Brunswick, reported Global News.

Reports say that the tornado likely touched down in the area around Grand Lake.

Buildings, vehicles, phone lines, and trees were damaged by the apparent twister, reported the National Post.

There were no injuries reported.

“It’s quite scary when it’s that close to home,” John Gunter, of Whites Cove, told the Post. “It completely removed the garage from the foundation and threw it in the wood, probably a thousand, fifteen-hundred feet away,” he added.

Matt Rideout, a witness, told the CBC that he saw a funnel cloud appear before winds tore off a roof of a barn.

“We saw that get lifted about 1,000 feet into the air and blown to pieces. We knew it was pretty serious then,” said Rideout. “Not a regular windstorm is going to lift a 60 by 40 roof up into the sky 1,000 feet and demolish it.”

A video surfaced on Sunday of a purported tornado near Cambridge-Narrows in New Brunswick.
