The Detroit Pistons have acquired Reggie Jackson, a shocking turn of events that leave the Brooklyn Nets without the rising guard.
Meanwhile, guard Goran Dragic has been traded to the Miami Heat.
Jackson had been rumored all day to be traded to the Nets, but the deal fell through in the last minute.
Oklahoma City will receive D.J. Augustin and Kyle Singler from the Pistons and Enes Kanter and sharpshooter Steve Novak from the Jazz, reported David Aldridge of TNT.
The Thunder are likely sending out more players or some draft picks, but those aren’t clear yet.
The Heat gave up a lot for Dragic--Danny Granger, Shawne Williams, Justin Hamilton, and two first-round picks, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo. Norris Cole had been a rumored part of the deal, but was later confirmed to be in a separate trade.
The Suns are also sending Goran’s brother Zoran Dragic to Miami in the deal, reported ESPN.
Both Jackson and Dragic had demanded trades just days before the deadline.
The two New York teams are left without any significant deals it seems. The Nets were pursuing Jackson and the Knicks were pursuing Dragic.
The Thunder were thought to be pursuing Brook Lopez of the Nets but backed away from a deal with minutes to spare for the deadline.
