Tim Duncan capped a personal 12-point quarter with a buzzer-beating jumper just before the end of the half to pull San Antonio to within 52 – 49. He’s already one rebound away from a double-double, though Miami is surprisingly out-rebounding the Spurs 22-19—a very bad sign for the Spurs.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Wade, who has topped the 20-point barrier just twice (21 both times) in these playoffs, already has 13 at halftime, allowing James (10 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists) to sit back and facilitate a bit.
Miami has been able to get a number of open shots though and it shows—they’re shooting 50 percent from the floor overall and are 6 of 15 from the three-point line. Spurs are a tad worse at 42.9 percent from the floor, but are the beneficiaries of three threes by Danny Green.
Chris Bosh has hit a pair of long jumpers but already has three fouls. His minutes, or lack thereof due to foul trouble, will be a major key for the Heat in the second half.
