NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski of the Penske Dodge team crashed during testing at Road Atlanta Wednesday, but plans to race this weekend regardless.
According to Keselowski’s Twitter reports, he hit the wall head-on at 100 mph after his brakes failed. The driver exited the car under his own power and was airlifted to a local hospital for examination.
X-Rays showed no damage, though pictures the driver posted showed one ankle severely swollen and the other cut and scraped.
Keselowski tweeted from the hospital, “Looks like I‘ll be ok to race this weekend. Blue deuce, not so much. I’ll keep u posted.”
The “Blue Deuce” is his car, the 2 Penske Dodge sponsored by Miller Lite.
