NASA’s space shuttle Endeavour blasted off into the skies early Monday morning on its final voyage to outer space.
The voyage is being documented live on NASA’s website, and on NASA TV. Space shuttle Endeavour launched from Launch Pad 39A in Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 8:56 a.m. EDT, according to NASA’s website.
The crew members who are part of the NASA space shuttle’s final voyage to space are: Commander Mark Kelly, Pilot Gregory H. Johnson, three mission specialists, and one astronaut from the European Space Agency.
During their 14-day journey, the crew members of STS-134 will be delivering Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) and spare parts to the International Space Station. NASA said that Endeavour’s mission was its 12th mission to the International Space Station, and the 36th space shuttle trip overall.

And amidst the excitement of the Endeavour launch, you would be forgiven for thinking that NASA’s space shuttle launch of Endeavour had something to do with getting closer to Star Trek. That’s because as NASA’s space shuttle makes its final voyage to outer space, the six crew members of space shuttle Endeavour, known as STS134, have made up their own Star Trek poster - featuring themselves, of course.
