The cause of death for boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who died on Friday, has been revealed.
Ali had Parkinson’s Disease for more than 32 years, but that wasn’t his cause of death.
The cause of death was “septic shock due to unspecified natural causes,” family spokesman Bob Gunnell said.
Septic shock is the an aggressive, full-body inflammatory response to an infection. It is common among the elderly and those with poor immune systems. As a result, one’s blood pressure drops, leading to organ failure.
