Mr. Rogers biopic: The television icon, now deceased, will be the subject of a movie, according to Deadline.com

The storyline and other details are not being revealed as of yet, but Justin Nappi, who will co-produce the movie, told the website about the motivation.

“Fred Rogers was such an inspirational man for so many people,“ said Nappi. ”His keen ability to find the good in anyone, or anything, will make for a truly inspiring cinematic experience. In literally shaping the world around him to fit into his own unique perspective, he created what is arguably the most influential American children’s television show of all time.”

Fred Rogers famed television series, “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood,” began airing in 1968 and ran for 895 episodes, airing through August 2001. 

Rogers died in 2003 from stomach cancer.
