Mr Drew’s School for Boys premieres on Channel 4 on April 29 at 9 p.m.
The show is set to run for four episodes before a decision to renew or cancel it is made.
Channel 4 has released a preview of the first episode.
“Head teacher Stephen Drew, who viewers may recognise from the 2011 series Educating Essex, sets out to help 11 difficult pupils by enrolling them - and their parents - in a residential summer school, hoping he and a team of experts can unlock the youngsters’ potential before it’s too late,” it said.
“In the first programme, the boys aren’t keen to play by the rules and there’s an altercation before they even make it to their first class, before a drama lesson descends into chaos.”
Drew is joined by a team including behavior expert Tracey Campbell and inspirational teachers Dominic Volante, Lindsay Skinner, Mark Grist and Ben Vidler.
