A Minnesota teen who had been missing for over a month was found in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Sunday night, according to a statement from the Marshall County Police.
Jordan Krolak, 17, was found July 2, after having she went missing on June 5 at Bemidji’s Northwestern Minnesota Juvenile Center. She was thought to have ran off with Casey Danielson, 17, another girl who went missing.
Jordan has a history of running away from home, officials said, but she always returned after a few days. Her one-month absence was unprecedented, and it was compounded by worries from parents and law enforcement that she could be taken advantage of due to her age.
Barbara Wojciechowski, Jordan’s mother, created a Facebook group titled ”Please help find Jordan Lorraine Krolak & Casey Louise Danielson." Casey was also found alongside Jordan.
“I am very, very relieved that she was found,” Robin Danielson, Casey’s mother, told the Grand Forks Herald.
“A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in finding them,” Patty Wojciechowski, Jordan’s aunt, told NBC News.
The Marshall County police wrote in the post that Krolak was “doing well.”
It is still not known what the girls were doing or how they were found. Her family said they will reunite with her on Tuesday.
