Miranda Lambert, the country music star, is making plans for a spring wedding to country musician and long-time beau Blake Shelton.
But unlike most brides to be, the songstress won’t be going on a diet just to fit into her wedding dress, according to best friend Hillary Scott from their group Lady Antebellum.
“She’s a real woman, and I love that about her,” Scott told People magazine at the American Country Awards on Monday.
The singer will be choosing a wedding dress to show off her curves, Scott said, noting that the couple was “perfect for each other.”
Lambert, who just received three nominations for next year’s Grammy Awards, says six months engagement was long enough, and she is ready to get married.
“I’m looking forward to getting married and just doing it, ya know?” Lambert told E!Online. “It’s kind of flown by but just taking that next step and kind of becoming a woman and moving on in life.”
The couple met in 2006 at the CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert.
