Miguel Tejada, the Kansas City Royals infielder, got slapped with a 105-game suspension for testing positive for amphetamines--namely Adderall, said a report on Saturday.
Citing its league sources, Yahoo Sports reported that he tested positive Adderall several times.
It is the third-longest suspension handed down by the ever.
And for the 39-year-old Tejada, this might be his last time in the big leagues. He was the American League MVP in 2002.
In 2009, Tejada pleaded guilty to one count of perjury for lying to Congress over whether Rafael Palmiero used steroids.
Yahoo points out that in 2006, there was widespread amphetamine use, leading to a league crackdown. In 2007, Neifi Perez tested positive twice within a month and got an 80-game sentence.
Around a week ago, the Royals placed Tejada on the disabled list. He sustained a right calf strain, according to MLB.com.
