Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones might be getting a divorce, according to reports this week.

A report on the cover of the National Enquirer said their marriage is having problems and it might be over.

A source told the publication that Douglas, 70, “walked out” on Zeta-Jones, 45, after separation and a bid for reconciliation.

“This time around, you may be hearing from my divorce lawyer!” Douglas allegedly said, according to a source.

But the alleged insider said, “Michael won’t give up on this marriage easily. Remember, this is a guy who battled back from deadly stage 4 tongue cancer!”

“But it takes two to make a marriage work, and Michael’s feeling is that Catherine has ‘checked out.’ So nothing is stopping him from throwing in the towel, too,” the source added.

Douglas is currently working on the comic movie Ant Man.

In 2013, the Enquirer claimed that Zeta-Jones and Douglas had secretly split up. Later, their representatives confirmed the two have broken up and tried efforts at reconciliation.

At the time, publicists said, “Michael and Catherine are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.”

Douglas also said earlier this year: “Like a lovely orchid, or anything else that’s nurtured, marriage prospers and grows, but if it’s ignored, it withers,” via the Mirror.

“But it takes two to make a marriage work, and Michael’s feeling is that Catherine has ‘checked out.’ So nothing is stopping him from throwing in the towel, too,” the source told the magazine.

Meanwhile, it was reported by Forbes that Douglas and Zeta-Jones purchased an $11 million mansion in Bedford Hills, New York. Their neighbors include Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, and Ben Stiller.
