First Lady Melania Trump continued to impress with her attire on June 5, where she opted for an elegant ivory coat and a matching hat to an event commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
The Trumps joined Queen Elizabeth II, UK Prime Minister Theresa May, and other world leaders at Portsmouth Naval Base to pay their respects to U.S. service members and allies who helped rescue Europe from Nazi Germany during World War II. Some 300 veterans also attended the seaside ceremony.

The first lady’s belted coat dress from The Row was complimented with a hat designed by one of the royal family’s go-to milliners, Philip Treacy, which covered her low bun, reported WWD. She completed the look with a pair of taupe heels.
During the ceremony, President Trump read an exerpt of a prayer that President Franklin D. Roosevelt read over the radio on June 6, 1944. Roosevelt gave the prayer as U.S. and allied forces were crossing the English Channel to land on the beaches of Normandy, France.

“Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity,” Trump read.
“They will need Thy blessings. For the enemy is strong. He may hurl back our forces but we shall return again and again; and we know that by Thy grace, and by the righteousness of our cause, our sons will triumph. Some will never return. Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants, into Thy kingdom. And, O Lord, give us Faith. Give us Faith in Thee; Faith in our sons; Faith in each other; Faith in our united crusade. Thy will be done, Almighty God. Amen.”
After the event, Trump visited with American World War II veterans who were among Allied troops on D-Day. He had lunch and met briefly with German Chancellor Angela Merkel before heading to Ireland for an airport meeting with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar and a stay at his golf course in the village of Doonbeg, his first visit to the country as president.

For a dinner the first lady and the president hosted on June 4, she stepped out in a jaw-dropping red sequinned cape-sleeve gown.
