All eyes were on First Lady Melania Trump and her elegant white floral dress when she visited Japan’s Akasaka State Guest House on May 27, where she spent the day immersing herself in a Japanese cultural experience.
President Donald Trump and the first lady are on a historic four-day visit to Japan, where the president became the first head of state to meet with the country’s new monarch. The Trumps were warmly received by head of state Naruhito and his wife Masako in a formal welcome ceremony at the royal palace on May 27.
Following the welcome ceremony, the first lady visited Akasaka State Guest House in Tokyo with the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Akie Abe, where she was introduced to Japanese traditional culture through flower arranging demonstrations and dance and music including a performance by flutist Yosuke Irie on the “shakuhachi” bamboo flute, reported ABC News.
There, Melania turned heads with her stunning white Carolina Herrera dress, priced at $4,290, styled with red stiletto pumps. The dress, at mid-calf length and with a slightly flared style, features an embroidered floral design that runs diagonally down the front from right to left.
The First Lady’s dress once again had social media abuzz over her style.
“You looked beautiful!! Love the dress and with the red [stiletto] accent to the gorgeous pattern on your dress was brilliant!! Your hair was flawless!! And DJT EVEN ACCENTED WITH RED TO MATCH,” one social media user wrote.
“What an interesting dress- the flower print is very elegant,” another person wrote.
“What a beautiful dress. Oddly it was impossible to find pictures on @Google. What an amazing @FLOTUS,” another social media user praised.
The first lady has often received praise for her style in the past. During the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this year at the White House, she received compliments for the three-quarter-length-sleeved green, white, and blue patterned dress. She completed the look with, a matching belt, and green high heels.
Earlier this year, she once again caught the public’s attention with her dark brown poncho and black high-heeled boot combo during the cool winter weather.
