Florida Megachurch Founder Bob Coy Unexpectedly Resigns Due to ‘Moral Failing’

The founder of a popular megachurch in Florida has unexpectedly resigned. “Good Morning America” reports Pastor Bob Coy resigned after a “moral failing.” The announcement was made at a meeting with more than 7,000 guests Sunday. The church hasn’t revealed what Coy’s “moral failing” was, but according to WPLG, Coy had admitted he cheated on his wife. The church says it will go through a cycle of rotating assistant pastors in the wake of Coy’s resignation.
