New nude photos of Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney have appeared recently on 4chan but overall the naked pictures leak is dying down.
Maroney’s pictures were removed from a number of websites after her lawyers got involved and claimed that she was under 18 years old at the time that the graphic images were taken.
Maroney was one of many victims of the hack. Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Aubrey Plaza, and Bar Refaeli were other confirmed or rumored victims.
Maroney’s new pictures appeared on 4chan recently but were quickly taken off the forum, though it’s unclear whether it was by the user that uploaded them or site administrators.
Avril Lavigne, Plaza, and Refaeli were three women hit most recently by leaks, although the latter two’s purported photos were never confirmed.
Lavigne’s pictures were panned by some users because she was clothed in them.
The most recent leaks appeared to happen several days ago, showing Hayden Patteniere, Hope Solo, Lake Bell, and Joy Corrignan.
The Fappening Report account had been promising to sell sets of previously unseen pictures to people but that offer was never verified widely. The account released a number of pictures, but they all seemed to be more PG-13 rated than R- or X-rated, upsetting users on Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter. The user said recently that he or she would not release any more pictures.
