Mario Nunez Meza, who is believed to be responsible for the killing or more than 350 people in Mexico, was captured on August 28 without any shots being fired.
Federal security spokesman Eduardo Sanchez said that Meza is a “close collaborator” with the most wanted man in Mexico, Sinaloa cartel kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, reported AFP.
Nunez is likely responsible for the murder of more than 350 people that were found in 23 secret graves, Sanchez added.
Nunez, 39, was captured in Ciudad Juarez, which borders Texas. His alleged crimes include kidnapping and drug trafficking.
