It’s official. Shock Rocker Marilyn Manson will join the cast of Sons of Anarchy for its seventh and final season. Manson will appear in a recurring role as Ron Tully, a white supremacist who will be associated with series protagonist Jax Teller, portrayed by Charlie Hunnam.
His reason for joining the cast is a rather sentimental one. In an interview with Hollywood reporter, he said that ”Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s.”
“I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle,” he elaborates.
Manson’s announcement comes two weeks after his mother passed away at 68 after battling dementia.
Sons of Anarchy, which premiered in 2008 on FX, focuses on a California outlaw motorcycle gang.
Manson has previously appeared in films such as Jawbreakers and Party Monster and has appeared in TV shows such as “Eastbound & Down,” “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” and “Once Upon a Time.”
The final season is set to premiere in September.
