A man and his dog were rescued from the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pa., after the man dove into the water to save his dog.
Police say the man was walking his dog when it ran into the water. The man dove in but became trapped, according to NBC10.
When a police K-9 unit arrived at the scene, the man was holding onto a pier as well as his dog.
The police threw him a rope, but he could not grab it. Eventually, a marine unit arrived and pulled both the man and his dog to safety. The two are recovering and are expected to be okay, NBC10 reports.
