The hamburglar is real, and he’s from Washington DC.

A Five Guys restaurant in Columbia Heights was burglarized last month by a man who snuck into the place when the delivery man was restocking supplies in the early hours of the morning.

But instead of taking off with the cash register, the man, apparently savvy with restaurant equipment, made himself a few cheeseburgers while sipping a fountain drink.

“He then rummaged through the establishment, cooked food, and stole bottled water before leaving the restaurant,” DC police said in a statement, the Washington City Paper reports.

The DC Metropolitan Police, which released the surveillance camera video, said the incident occurred on March 18, between 3:10 and 5:05 a.m. They are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the perpetrator.
