A fugitive accused of killing his 32-year-old girlfriend and her unborn child in East Hollywood has been added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Philip Policarpio allegedly shot his girlfriend at a residence on North Virgil Avenue on April 12. He had gotten into an argument with her and punched her before shooting her, the police said.
The suspect is described as a 5'8” Filipino male who drives a BMW, 325i with the license number 7NBY245. He has connections to the Philippines, and may have traveled to Las Vegas.
His girlfriend was shot in the head, the FBI told KTLA.
“My biggest fear is he‘ll hurt someone else, and they’ll end up in my shoes,” said the victim’s mother. “You never expect to be in this position.”
Policarpio had been on parole for an unrelated attempted murder at the time, and had shot a car full of people in 2000.
He had previously fled to the Philippines to avoid the police, and was released from prison in May of 2015 after serving a 14-year sentence.
Policarpio is also suspected of selling meth, and of having gang connections.
“Obviously, he’s got a propensity for violence. He’s a repeat offender,” said an FBI agent.
