Wednesday morning New York City subways are experiencing major delays and disruptions due to weather and a fire at Grand Central Station. Earlier Wednesday, the MTA issued warnings of train service disruptions along the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, G and 7 lines .The hardest hit lines are on the 1, 2, and 3 trains.
1, 2, 3 Trains
According to the MTA, there are no 1, 2, or 3 trains between 42 St.-Times Square and 137 St.-City College in both directions due to a fire at Grand Central Station. All 2 trains are running on the 5 line between 149 St.-Grand Concourse and Nevins St. in both directions. Service between Jackson Ave. and Burke Ave. on the 2 train in both directions is delayed.
A, C Trains
People who need train service along Central Park West should use the A and C lines.
7 Train
Due to signal problems at Court Square, 42 St.-Times Square bound 7 trains are running with delays in both directions.
G Train
Signal problems at Ditmas Ave. have caused Court Square0bound G trains to run express from Church Ave. to Smith-9 St.
5, 6 Trains
Service between Jackson Ave. and Burke Ave. on the 5 train in both directions is delayed.
In the Bronx, there is no 6 express train and there are delays along the Lexington Ave. line on the 4, 5, and 6 trains in both directions.
N, Q Trains
Problems at Queensboro Plaza have led to delays on southbound N and Q trains.
