NAGOYA, Japan—Nagoya, home of the industrial automobile maker Toyota, welcomed Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company on April 26. Shen Yun brought to life a never-before-seen heavenly paradise shrouded in a cloud of mist, which left the audience in amazement.

Being able to see the revival of traditional Chinese culture in Japan has left mainland Chinese Mr. Men in awe. “It is great that there are still performances like this. The portrayal of Chinese tradition was very authentic and well done,” he said.

Mr. Men was completely blown away by the show and was bewildered by the fact that such a performance of pure beauty and compassion cannot be seen in China. “Why is it that such a program cannot be seen in China? What are the reasons?” he asked.

In fact, it was his friends in China that told Mr. Men about Shen Yun, telling him that he must go to see the performance in person while in Japan. “My friend back home sent me a message via the Internet, saying that I must come to see the performance. He told me that many mainland Chinese travel abroad simply to watch this performance. So, out of curiosity, here I am,” he said. Mr. Men said he did not expect to be blown away after seeing it.

With the story of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners unfolding on stage, Mr. Men couldn’t help but think, “I believe China [the Communist regime] has made up the issue against Falun Gong, and it seems to me it is not like what the Chinese regime has said. I will now think twice about Falun Gong and what it really is.” He said he will look into Falun Gong and try to understand the truth.

As for the principle of good and evil, Mr. Men, who has lived overseas for many years, said: “I believe that rewards or retribution come with good or evil deeds. In dire danger, Gods will come to the rescue, because rewards come with doing good deeds. Gods can see everything. If you commit an evil act, you will surely be punished; it is just a matter of time.”
