Like every year, this year’s Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular will light up above the Hudson River, attracting a few million people. More than 40,000 fireworks will burst in the sky for 25 minutes straight.

Grammy-award winning R&B singer, Usher directs the show, called “It began with a Spark.”  It will also feature celebrities Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Tim Mcgraw, and Nick Cannon.

NBC will broadcast the event at 8:00 pm EST.

All subways and buses in the city will be running on a Saturday schedule. Here is the MTA notice.

There will be four barges between 42nd and 24th streets. Macy’s recommends heading to 12 Ave., below 59 St. for the best views.

Going up to the Empire State Building or the Top of the Rock will give you great views too.

Also, the event will be broadcasted live on 1010 WINS. The fireworks event will start at 9:20pm EST.
