Love Thy Neighbor season 1 is wrapping up on the Oprah Winfrey network on April 2 and fans are wondering whether there will be a second season.

There hasn’t been any official announcement but it’s almost certain that the series will be renewed.

It’s one of the most popular shows on OWN, helping the network deliver its most-watched quarter in network history in quarter one of 2014, the network announced on Tuesday.

On Wednesday nights, the show was the No. 1 original cable series for black women, women aged 25-54, and total viewers.

The show has averaged over one million viewers and is only behind “The Haves and Have Nots,” another show from Tyler Perry on the network.

That program attracted 3.6 million viewers for the March 11 season finale.

Love Thy Neighbor started in May 2013 and quickly became so popular that the network extended the first season from 26 to 52 episodes.

The show follows a family led by matriarch Hattie Mae Love at The Love Train Diner.

Perry recently announced that he’s taking a break from movies to focus more on television shows. He has an exclusive multi-year production deal at OWN.
