Snow is currently falling at a decent pace in New York City’s metropolitan area on Thursday, so are LIRR, PATH, and Metro North trains operating as normal?
According to LIHerald.com, all LIRR branches are operating on time as of 12:30 p.m. ET except for the Babylon branch.
There were delays reported earlier in the day.
“As of 12:30 p.m., the Ronkonkoma Branch of the Long Island Rail road is reporting a 10-minuite delay due to ”winter weather conditions,“ and the Babylon Branch is experiencing a 17-minute delay due to a passenger medical emergency. All other Long Island Rail Road branches are reporting on-schedule service,” the site says.
It also doesn’t appear that Metro-North will experience delays amid the snowstorm. According to CBS NY, there were delays as long as 45 minutes on Metro-North’s Hudson and New Haven lines due to a power issue. However, it doesn’t appear there were any snow-related issues.
On its website, LIRR did not say there would be delays or service changes.
The PATH trains from New Jersey also appear to be running normally.
The MTA says on its site that there “are no emergency-level disruptions of MTA service at this time.”
