Lil Wayne trampled the American flag while he was filming his latest music video, drawing outrage on Twitter.

Video footage uploaded to YouTube shows the rapper walking over a flag for a video for his song, “God Bless Amerika,” in New Orleans.

“My country ’tis of thee / Sweet land of kill ‘em all and let ’em die / God bless Amerika / This ole' godless Amerika,” reads the lyrics for the song.

In the video, Wayne raps in front of the flag before it falls down, while he continues to rap and then walks on it--apparently on purpose.

“Idk who lil Wayne think he is dancing and stepping on the American flag. That is mad disrespectful. I am no longer a fan,” wrote Twitter user @ToddJohn8652h, according to MTV News.

“Didn’t think I could like this dude less,” another Twitter user wrote, according to the New York Daily News.

Veteran of Foreign Wars spokesperson Randi Law told the News that the move was “disrespectful and shouldn’t be done.”
