The Tampa Bay Buccaneers-New Orleans Saints game was postponed after lightning struck near Raymond James stadium in Florida. The players were told to go back to their locker rooms.
UPDATE: The game resumed at 5:25 p.m. after an hour and nine minute delay.
Lightning struck a few minutes after the game started at 4 p.m., with 10:30 remaining in the first quarter.
The Saints were up 3-0 after an early field goal.
It is unclear when the game will be started again.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Tampa area on Sunday afternoon.
