According to LFO band member Brad Fischetti, he died in a Massachusetts hospital, wrote US Magazine.
Cronin had battled against leukemia prior to his death, and remained popular, evidenced by a massive outpouring of Twitter condolences at the time of writing.
On the morning of Sept. 9, Fischetti tweeted: “Thank you for all the kind messages. Devin & I will miss our brother Rich. May he rest in peace with our Lord in Heaven. Please pray for his family.”
LFO were known for their hits “Summer Girls,” which Cronin wrote, and “Girl on TV,” which made it to the Billboard charts in the 1990s. In 2009, the band went on a tour with Rookie of the Year, Go Crash Audio and Kiernan McMullan.
