Levine “I hate this country:” Adam Levine, pop singer and lead of Maroon 5, said his remark about hating the United States was a joke.

Levine is currently judging for the show “The Voice,” and was caught on mic saying “I hate this country.”

But after many people tweeted that Levine shouldn’t have said that (while others came to his defense), Levine posted a definition of humorless on Twitter.

“1. Lacking a sense of humor,” he said. “2. Said or done without humor.”
