Delonte West, star NBA guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers and teammate of Lebron James was arrested on weapons charges after being pulled over by Prince George’s County Police officer in Largo, Maryland on Thursday night, the Washington Post reported.
West was reportedly riding a three-wheeled motorcycle on the highway when he cut off a police officer. The officer promptly pulled him over, to find that West was carrying 2 handguns and a shotgun on his person.
No other details have been released on where West was going.
The current climate of continuing negotiations, or lack thereof, arose despite the signing of 4-time NBA Champion Shaquelle Oneil.
This puts added pressure on the entire organization to perform well this year and bring Cleveland a champsionhip. Otherwise, the 2010 season could bring about a change in residence for the 24 year-old Akronite.
