Mr. Liu said that Shen Yun’s performance has demonstrated the 5,000 years of civilization of arts and ethnic heritage.
KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan—On the evening of Feb. 28, Mr. Liu, an attorney who specializes in industry and commerce legal affairs, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts performing at the Kaohsiung Cultural Center. Accompanied by his wife, he said that Shen Yun has honestly presented the history and essence of Chinese culture, and he believed Shen Yun’s performance has “made the Chinese proud.”
Often traveling between Taiwan and China, Mr. Liu said that this is his third time watching Shen Yun. He was deeply touched by the magnificence and peace of the gods and goddesses, and heaven presented by Shen Yun. He said, “I believe in the afterlife and reincarnation,” and therefore, “we should take care of our hearts,” by filling our hearts with true compassion and giving of ourselves to the world.
Mr. Liu said that Shen Yun’s performance has demonstrated the 5,000 years of civilization of arts and ethnic heritage. “Shen Yun has honestly presented the essence of history and culture that inspires true compassion and reminds the young generations of the characteristics of ancient Chinese culture.” He said, “As a Chinese, we feel proud.”
Speaking of the all-new program Shen Yun presents each year, he said, “You feel different every year. Some programs were drawn from the same story, but the choreography, stage design, plot, and tones are new and different. The stories such as Journey to the West and the Shaolin Temple are just great!”
He particularly enjoyed Inspired Dance of the Yi. He said, “Shen Yun’s performance has got dynamic, especially the Yi ethnic dance. It has a very rich presentation with concerted and perfect combination and dance, costumes, colors, and backdrops.” Mr. Liu said that they are looking forward to seeing Shen Yun every year.
