HONG KONG—Khalsa-A will play Singh Sabha Sports Club (SSSC-A) in a decider for the Hong Kong Hockey Association Premier Division 2014-2015 title when they meet for their final league match of the season at King’s Park tomorrow, Sunday Feb 8.
This follows a mid-week decision by the Men’s Committee that Punjab-A has to forfeit wins in their last 2 completed games because of a Bye Law infringement – the matches concerned are last week’s fixture against Khalsa-A and the one the previous week against Valley-A with revised scores of 0-3.
Punjab-A previously shown to be on 38-points and 1-point ahead of both Khalsa-A and SSSC-A have now dropped in the newly released standings table to 32-points and out of range of winning the division.
The revised standings table loaded to the Hong Kong Hockey Association website shows Khalsa-A and SSSC-A both on 40-points but with Khalsa-A ahead on goal difference.
This also adds a bit more interest to match between HKFC-A and Valley-A at Sports Road as Valley-A are now just 2-points below HKFC-A in the standings.
